Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (St. Louis, MO)

Fernwood Bridge Environmental Services is an environmental-services company in St. Louis with routes, transfer stations and recycling. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on scheduling and capacity. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Track performance measures for recycling loads and act on them. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with fleet maintenance. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in St. Louis, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
