Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (St. Louis, MO)

Northwind Solutions is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on scheduling and capacity for packing house output, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 44 people based in St. Louis. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Track performance measures for packing house output and act on them. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with grower contracts. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in St. Louis, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
