Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (St. Louis, MO)

Bright Lakeside Freight Partners is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on scheduling and capacity for claims, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 40 people based in St. Louis. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Track performance measures for claims and act on them. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with carrier rates. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in St. Louis. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
