Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Savannah, GA)

Fernwood Quill Farms is an agricultural business based around Savannah, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our scheduling and capacity. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Track performance measures for seasonal crews and act on them. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with grower contracts. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Savannah, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
