Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (San Jose, CA)

Greenridge Beacon Water Authority is a public water utility serving the San Jose area, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our scheduling and capacity. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for treatment plant data and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with billing accounts. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in San Jose, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
