Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (San Jose, CA)

Amberfield Cross Transit Planning helps transport agencies around San Jose design routes and schedules, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our scheduling and capacity. You would join a small organisation of about 142 people based in San Jose. What you will do • Track performance measures for service alerts and act on them. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with route schedules. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in San Jose. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
