Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (San Jose, CA)

Ironwood Glen Transit Planning plans bus and rail service for cities around San Jose. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on scheduling and capacity. You would join a large organisation of about 551 people based in San Jose. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Track performance measures for survey data and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with accessibility audits. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in San Jose. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
