Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (San Jose, CA)

We are growing our team at Foxglove Wren Freight Partners and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be scheduling and capacity. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Track performance measures for carrier rates and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with customer tracking. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in San Jose. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
