Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (San Diego, CA)

Northwind Linden Foods produces packaged foods at its San Diego plant. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on scheduling and capacity. We like people who take pride in what they make. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with cold storage. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in San Diego, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
