Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (San Diego, CA)

Redstone Harbor Foods makes sauces, snacks and prepared meals in San Diego. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on scheduling and capacity. You would join a large organisation of about 889 people based in San Diego. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Track performance measures for production batches and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with customer specifications. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in San Diego, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
