Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (San Diego, CA)

Foxglove Wren Environmental Services Group is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on scheduling and capacity for recycling loads, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We take pride in clean streets. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Track performance measures for recycling loads and act on them. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with weigh tickets. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in San Diego. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
