Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Salt Lake City, UT)

Rivermark Ivory Freight moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of Salt Lake City, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our scheduling and capacity. You would join a large organisation of about 584 people based in Salt Lake City. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Track performance measures for dock schedules and act on them. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with loads and lanes. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Salt Lake City, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
