Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Sacramento, CA)

Harborlight Juniper Freight is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on scheduling and capacity for claims, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 21 people based in Sacramento. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Track performance measures for claims and act on them. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with carrier rates. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Sacramento. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
