Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Rochester, NY)

Stonegate Nest Manufacturing manufactures parts and assemblies at its Rochester plant, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our scheduling and capacity. You would join a small organisation of about 100 people based in Rochester. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Track performance measures for scrap and rework and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with production lines. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Rochester. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
