Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Rochester, NY)

Bright Harbor Farms is an agricultural business based around Rochester. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on scheduling and capacity. You would join a large organisation of about 824 people based in Rochester. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Track performance measures for seasonal crews and act on them. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with packing house output. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Rochester, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
