Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Richmond, VA)

We are growing our team at Stonegate Lakeside Freight and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be scheduling and capacity. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Richmond. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with claims. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Richmond. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
