Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Richmond, VA)

We are growing our team at Highbridge Hollow Freight and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be scheduling and capacity. We reward reliability. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for proof of delivery and act on them. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with customer tracking. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Richmond. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
