Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Richmond, VA)

Amberfield Junction Water Authority supplies drinking water and treats wastewater for Richmond and nearby communities, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our scheduling and capacity. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Richmond. What you will do • Track performance measures for pipe repairs and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with water quality. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Richmond. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
