Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Reno, NV)

We are growing our team at Silverline Birch Freight Group and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be scheduling and capacity. Dispatch, drivers and warehouse staff talk to each other constantly. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with claims. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Reno. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
