Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (remote)

Summit Sable Manufacturing manufactures parts and assemblies at its Indianapolis plant. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on scheduling and capacity. You would join a small organisation of about 124 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Track performance measures for scrap and rework and act on them. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with customer orders. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Indianapolis. • We reply to every applicant.
