Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (remote)

We are growing our team at Ironwood Fern Transit Planning and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be scheduling and capacity. You would join a small organisation of about 176 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Track performance measures for survey data and act on them. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with route schedules. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Baltimore. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
