Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (remote)

Redstone Quarry Freight coordinates shipments and warehousing around Savannah, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our scheduling and capacity. Dispatch, drivers and warehouse staff talk to each other constantly. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Track performance measures for carrier rates and act on them. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with dock schedules. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Savannah. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
