Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (remote)

We are growing our team at Silverline Junction Manufacturing and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be scheduling and capacity. Many of our supervisors started on the floor. What you will do • Track performance measures for scrap and rework and act on them. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with customer orders. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Portland. • We reply to every applicant.
