Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (remote)

Cedar Fern Freight is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on scheduling and capacity for dock schedules, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Dispatch, drivers and warehouse staff talk to each other constantly. What you will do • Track performance measures for dock schedules and act on them. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with claims. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Austin. • We reply to every applicant.
