Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (remote)

Amberfield River Manufacturing manufactures parts and assemblies at its Virginia Beach plant. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on scheduling and capacity. Many of our supervisors started on the floor. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Track performance measures for machine downtime and act on them. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with customer orders. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Virginia Beach. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
