Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (remote)

Harborlight Rowan Environmental Services is an environmental-services company in Portland with routes, transfer stations and recycling. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on scheduling and capacity. Early starts and steady work; we look after our drivers. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with collection routes. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Portland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
