Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (remote)

Redstone Glen Freight is a Oakland logistics company with trucks, warehouses and dispatch. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on scheduling and capacity. On-time is the promise and we work hard to keep it. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Track performance measures for carrier rates and act on them. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with claims. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Oakland. • We reply to every applicant.
