Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Raleigh, NC)

Bright Stone Transit Planning Group plans bus and rail service for cities around Raleigh. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on scheduling and capacity. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track performance measures for fare systems and act on them. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with survey data. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Raleigh, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
