Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Providence, RI)

Northwind Vista Manufacturing Group makes precision components in Providence. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on scheduling and capacity. We value people who work safely and speak up. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for scrap and rework and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with production lines. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Providence, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
