Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Providence, RI)

We are growing our team at Rivermark Oak Freight Group and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be scheduling and capacity. We reward reliability. What you will do • Track performance measures for customer tracking and act on them. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with proof of delivery. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Providence. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
