Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Portland, OR)

Lumen Forge Transit Planning helps transport agencies around Portland design routes and schedules, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our scheduling and capacity. You would join a small organisation of about 156 people based in Portland. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Track performance measures for ridership counts and act on them. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with survey data. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Portland, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
