Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Portland, OR)

Ironwood Glen Inspection Services tests and certifies buildings, pipelines and equipment around Portland. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on scheduling and capacity. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Portland. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Track performance measures for equipment calibration and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with test reports. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Portland. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
