Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Portland, OR)

Fernwood Timber Water Authority is a public water utility serving the Portland area. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on scheduling and capacity. You would join a small organisation of about 100 people based in Portland. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for meter reading and act on them. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with water quality. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Portland, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
