Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Portland, OR)

We are growing our team at Cedar Wren Freight Group and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be scheduling and capacity. We reward reliability. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with customer tracking. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Portland, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
