Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Pittsburgh, PA)

Northwind Harbor Environmental Services is an environmental-services company in Pittsburgh with routes, transfer stations and recycling. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on scheduling and capacity. Safety briefings happen every morning. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with landfill records. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Pittsburgh, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
