Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Pittsburgh, PA)

Northwind Sparrow Inspection Services provides independent inspection and testing for industry across Pittsburgh, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our scheduling and capacity. Independence and accuracy are our product. What you will do • Track performance measures for certifications and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with test reports. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Pittsburgh. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
