Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Phoenix, AZ)

Fernwood Lakeside Freight is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on scheduling and capacity for customer tracking, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Track performance measures for customer tracking and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with proof of delivery. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Phoenix, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
