Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Omaha, NE)

Silverline Systems produces packaged foods at its Omaha plant. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on scheduling and capacity. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track performance measures for cold storage and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with production batches. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Omaha, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
