Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Oakland, CA)

Bright Pine Water Authority Group operates treatment plants and pipelines around Oakland, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our scheduling and capacity. You would join a large organisation of about 453 people based in Oakland. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Track performance measures for pipe repairs and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with water quality. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Oakland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
