Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (New Orleans, LA)

Summit Pine Manufacturing is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on scheduling and capacity for work orders, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Track performance measures for work orders and act on them. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with customer orders. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in New Orleans. • We reply to every applicant.
