Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (New Orleans, LA)

Greenridge Harbor Freight Associates moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of New Orleans. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on scheduling and capacity. You would join a small organisation of about 40 people based in New Orleans. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for dock schedules and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with claims. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in New Orleans. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
