Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (New Orleans, LA)

We are growing our team at Stonegate Union Foods Group and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be scheduling and capacity. You would join a large organisation of about 267 people based in New Orleans. What you will do • Track performance measures for sanitation schedules and act on them. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with customer specifications. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in New Orleans, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
