Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Minneapolis, MN)

Northwind West Freight is a Minneapolis logistics company with trucks, warehouses and dispatch. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on scheduling and capacity. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Minneapolis. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Track performance measures for loads and lanes and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with dock schedules. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Minneapolis. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
