Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Memphis, TN)

Greenridge Quarry Transit Planning helps transport agencies around Memphis design routes and schedules. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on scheduling and capacity. You would join a small organisation of about 33 people based in Memphis. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Track performance measures for route schedules and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with fare systems. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Memphis, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
