Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Memphis, TN)

Redstone Bridge Freight moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of Memphis. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on scheduling and capacity. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Track performance measures for claims and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with proof of delivery. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Memphis, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
