Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Madison, WI)

Ironwood Amber Manufacturing makes precision components in Madison, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our scheduling and capacity. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Madison. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Track performance measures for machine downtime and act on them. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with work orders. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Madison. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
