Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Louisville, KY)

Cedar Amber Manufacturing makes precision components in Louisville. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on scheduling and capacity. Many of our supervisors started on the floor. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Track performance measures for production lines and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with tooling. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Louisville. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
