Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Jacksonville, FL)

Amberfield Fern Freight is a Jacksonville logistics company with trucks, warehouses and dispatch. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on scheduling and capacity. On-time is the promise and we work hard to keep it. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with dock schedules. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Jacksonville. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
