Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Indianapolis, IN)

Bright Juniper Foods makes sauces, snacks and prepared meals in Indianapolis. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on scheduling and capacity. We like people who take pride in what they make. What you will do • Track performance measures for customer specifications and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with ingredient orders. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Indianapolis, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
