Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Indianapolis, IN)

Summit Clear Freight is a Indianapolis logistics company with trucks, warehouses and dispatch, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our scheduling and capacity. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Indianapolis. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with proof of delivery. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Indianapolis. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
